In exhibiton action this morning the Spartans played their most complete game of the tournament defeating Baden-Wurttemberg (Germany) 4-0.  Although the Roy-Foster-Borek line did all of the scoring, it was a total team effort.  All forward lines and all defensemen played very well and Kevin Gray was exceptional in goal posting a shutout.

It was a high-paced and very competitive game through the first half of the game and then the Spartans' persistence and energy seemed to wear down the German team as the game went on.  Charley Borek notched the hatrick along with an assist.  Austin Roy had a goal and and 2 assists and Niall Foster had two helpers as well.  Kevin Gray was tested multiple times early in the game and in the second but saw less pressure from the German's in the third as the Spartans dictated play late in the game.

The Spartans will now play the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles tomorrow morning (2/20) at 8:00am in an elimination game.  Cape Breton is a very good team and the defending champion of this Quebec International Peewee Hockey Tournament division.  Click on the link above to watch a live feed of the game as the Spartans PW Majors continue their quest at the "Q".
